Paris' Towering Inferno

Paris is the "City of Love."
Anyone who's strolled it momuents, parks, and beautiful landscaping can see why. I love it in the spring, summer, autumn, and winter. If I had my druthers I'd live there.

Thanks Annemarie for pix.

Odile

The Odile/Sigfried, pas de deux is one of the most vibrant and stirring acts (Act III) in the Petipa ballet repetoire. It creates a perfect foil for the delicacy and beauty of the white swan, Odette, and shows how one, so in love as Sigfried is with Odette, can still be fooled, by dazzle and glitter, But, as in all fairy tales, love wins in the end, even in death. Click on thumbnail and watch in amazment.

Yoga with Vigor

I started practicing Iyengar yoga four years ago. There have been several interruptions in my practice due to injury, surgery, and l old bones, but over the years I have found that yoga buoys me up. I feel great after practice and in touch with myself. I study at Yogani studios on Platt street, and for now I have been taking private lessons, because surgery on my left foot made it difficult to keep up with a regular class. Bobbie Kass, my yoga teacher, is excellent in devising accomodations for various asanas. I hope one day to keep up with a regular Iyengar class.

I would like to credit my first yoga teacher Michelle Hammond for providing me with a good base in Iyengar yoga. I would also like the thank Laraine O'Neill for her generous help, instruction and support. Last but not least I would like to express appreciation for the encouragement of Susan Oliver and Manuel Arocho to start something like this during my sixties.
